ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON THE DISTRIBUTION AND ABUNDANCE OF SMALL PELAGIC FISH IN THE WESTERN WATERS OF THE CORAL TRIANGLE, INDONESIA – 2024

This PMDSU research project, conducted in 2024 and funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, investigates the impact of climate change on the distribution and abundance of small pelagic fish in the western waters of the Coral Triangle, particularly within the Banda Sea region of Indonesia. The primary objective is to map distribution patterns and assess population dynamics of small pelagic fish in response to climate variability. The study’s findings are expected to contribute to the development of adaptive management strategies, ensuring the sustainability of pelagic fish stocks in the face of climate change.
